Jon Hamm starring in Ben Affleck-directed The Town

Ben Affleck directed thriller The Town has debuted its first official trailer. The movie is set for September 10, 2010 release and looks like a good movie to watch, a pretty rare thing in movie industry these days.

The Town starring Ben Affleck, Jon Hamm, Rebecca Hall, Blake Lively and Jeremy Renner, is based on the Hammett Prize winning novel Prince Of Thieves by Chuck Hogan.

Here’s the synopsis:

Doug MacRay (Ben Affleck) is an unrepentant criminal, the de facto leader of a group of ruthless bank robbers who pride themselves in stealing what they want and getting out clean. With no real attachments, Doug never has to fear losing anyone close to him.

But that all changed on the gang’s latest job, when they briefly took a hostage–bank manager, Claire Keesey (Rebecca Hall). Though they let her go unharmed, Claire is nervously aware that the robbers know her name… and where she lives. But she lets her guard down when she meets an unassuming and rather charming man named Doug…not realizing that he is the same man who only days earlier had terrorized her.

The instant attraction between them gradually turns into a passionate romance that gets potentially deadly.

Jon Hamm stars as the FBI agent investigating the robberies. Blake Lively is one of Doug’s girlfriends.

Yesterday, the day before Oscar nominees are announced, The Golden Raspberry Award Foundation announced their alternative list of the worst in movie business last year.

Traditionally, Golden Raspberry Awards are held the night before the Oscars to hand out golden raspberries to the worst actors, actresses, directors and movies. This year, the 30th Razzie Awards will be held on March 6th.

While I wasn’t surprised to see Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen on the Razzie list, I was amazed to know that Twilight Saga: New Moon has gained as much as four mons in such categories as worst screen couple, worst supporting actor, worst sequel and worst screenplay.

Do you agree, Twi-hards?

I heart the worst of the decade category. It’s simply awesome. , Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey, and will compete to be named the worst actress of the decade.

Your thoughts, who should get the award?

Gwyneth Paltrow and Winona Ryder are famous celebrity frenemies

Linguists must thank Tinseltown citizens for creating neologisms that later enter dictionaries and our everyday speech. The word of the day is “frenemy” – an enemy who behaves as a friend but who actually doesn’t mean well.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s blog entry inspired me to find more A-list frenemies in Hollywood.

But Gwyneth goes first, of course.

Back in the day, I had a “frenemy” who, as it turned out, was pretty hellbent on taking me down,” the Iron Man actress wrote on her website. “This person really did what they could to hurt me. I was deeply upset, I was angry, I was all of those things you feel when you find out that someone you thought you liked was venomous and dangerous.

I restrained myself from fighting back. I tried to take the high road. But one day I heard that something unfortunate and humiliating had happened to this person. And my reaction was deep relief and happiness.”

Gwyneth never named the frenemy. We still don’t know whom she meant but there are at last two suggestions.

State of Play starring Russell Crowe, Ben Affleck, Rachel McAdams and Helen Mirren

That’s what I love about Fridays. New movies premiere every week, isn’t it great? Well though some flicks aren’t that good as they could be, some are totally fantastic.

This is one of the latter. State of Play is your best pick if you’re a fan of conspiracy plots, and sure politics are a dirty business. This breath-catching blistering thriller stars Russell Crowe, Ben Affleck, , Robin Wright Penn, Jason Bateman and Helen Mirren and tells about a rising congressman and an investigative journalist involved in a case of seemingly unrelated, brutal murders.

Russell Crowe, Rachel McAdams and Helen Mirren star in State of Play

I’m a big fan of Russell Crowe, even if he’s put on some pounds, he’s still a fantastic actor. Earlier there was a rumor the film was to star Brad Pitt as the journalist and Edward Norton as the congressman, it never happened but the film is still good enough to spend your Friday night on.

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck reveal their second daughter's name Seraphina Rose Afflleck

Though Jennifer Garner gave birth to her second daughter last week on January 6th, it’s only now that we know the baby’s name. So everyone, meet Seraphina Rose Elizabeth Affleck.

Unlike many celeb baby names, this one has some meaning. The name Seraphina derives from the word “seraphim,” which was Hebrew in origin and meant “fiery ones.”

Seraphim is one of the highest orders of angels,” baby name expert Pamela Redmond Satran told Us Magazine. “And Rose as the middle of the name relates to Violet [Jennifer and ’s first daughter’s name] as a flower name.”

Anyways, we’re glad to meet Seraphina Affleck and can’t wait to see her first pics!

  • The truth is still out there?

  • Wings cut short, or sort of bdsm pleasure

  • You know I was just thinking about the things that make me vulnerable. Cause I personally hate this feeling, like being hanged in the air like being controlled from outside and unable to do my thing. Generally, who the hell was the first to come up with the idea of control? And the more important question, why do we need it? If I wanna do something I'll do it anyway and either way, and if I do it breaking some rules, escaping the CONTROL, then the feeling would just get better and the victory would just feel sweeter. So why do we need control and sort of submission it takes a long. What sort of bdsm pleasure is that supposed to give?

  • Stirring things up!

  • Did you ever provoke a fight with your guy? You love getting on his nerves because that makes him so obscure and funny – “cute” so we say. No, you’re not sadistic. Just the fact that after the make up, it feels so sweet to be the conqueror- to have the feeling of power! To feel the situation is under your control - to cause a fight and then to stop it. Isn’t it just so dramatically sweet to push the edges once in a while?

I love pushing his triggers. Some may think I’m an evil witch, but I’m simply making our relationship tempered, exciting, resolute, pert.

If you intentionally get into a fight with him – you are not sick in a head (and no, you’re not just a bitch). Scientists say that a healthy relationship is a relationship where there are arguments, and any argument needs a solution, right? That takes out our negative energy and brings us closer.

  • Breaking Rules

  • No matter how obvious it sounds most of the rules have been created long before us. By rules I mean systematized experience of previous generations, like handshakes and etiquette, and things like going for a social smoke. There is a rule that ladies go in first into any door except the elevator.

But rules are a need for the sense of stability around one. Society needs rules to forecast the effect of a cause, to have at least some confidence of the future. And this is what disappoints people. This is when they lose their confidence because things appear not the way they expected them to be. Those who were really dependent on expectations suffer from facing the world that is unpredictable, that the rules they believed in didn’t work at some turning point.

So they say that only fools learn through their own mistakes. Don’t you remember your mom telling you not to stick your tong out and put it against the metallic balcony railing when it’s freezing cold outside? Why did I skip my SPSS class with that macho from senior class? All of my friends were telling me he was a player and had nothing else in his head except for getting laid. Why do we learn things only after we go through them? This is what humans are like.

  • Sex Agenda

  • Inspired by “fuck” conversation last Saturday, which is a very delicate subject.

All of us, living in a fast growing temper of big cities are busy. We go to work, go to college full time, or have kids to take care of. There are plenty of things to do. When crazy week days are over we have yoga or tango classes, and shopping to do aside the chorus, french classes and getting a good sleep.

When is there time for sex?

The right answer would be - there is always time for sex. But the stress and busyness lead some couples to pencil their intimacy. It is logical, simple and hot to know that your schedule after works has a mark “Ryan 8 pm”. It is exciting to feel the anticipation, but on the other hand do we feel it is comfortable to set up our special moments with an important person for us on a basis of a scheduled task? It seems awkward to plan it, it is out of style, especially for femme-fatale like me, but even when sex is spontaneous, in every woman's head it is always planned. (wink!)
