2009 Cannes international Film Festival continues to bring you the best and must-watch movies from the global film market.
Here are some you just can’t miss if you’re currently in Cannes or, at least, if you keep up with the latest Cannes events.

When talking about the in competition program, I would certainly pick Quentin Tarantino’s Inglorious Basterds that, according to experts, stands a chance to win the Palme d’Or (Golden Palm) this year. The movie stars Brad Pitt and is set in the World War II guerilla war environment.
Brad Pitt will premiere the movie and arrive in Cannes later this month. So stay tuned to see the Brangelina invade France this year again!
More about the movie you can read here.

The second film, Broken Embraces (Los Abrasos Rotos), is directed by renowned Spanish director Pedro Almodovar. That’s basically the first reason to watch the movie, as Almodovar’s films are always great and deep, as all good movies should be.
The second reason why you can’t miss it is that it stars beautiful Penelope Cruz, one of Almodovar’s favorite actresses. Penelope plays wife of a writer who loses both his sight and the love of his life in a car accident.
The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, USA, is the last film of late Heath Ledger. The actor didn’t finish it but his part was then played by three more talented actors – Johnny Depp, Colin Farrel and Jude Law. The film was directed by Terry Gilliam (Brothers Grimm). A beautiful must-watch fantasy.
And finally, it’s Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky (France) that will close the Festival this year. This film is great cause it’s about Chanel. And everything Coco Chanel is totally exquisite.
