You know how much I love and adore Cristiano Ronaldo. I’ve already accepted the fact Portugal is out of the game and I won’t see Ron play at Euro 2008 anymore. But here comes the good news for me and for all his fans. According to The Sun, Cristiano, 23, has phoned Manchester United to say “I’ll be back” meaning he would be going straight on holiday and would return, as instructed, for pre-season training.
So far it’s been unclear whether Ronaldo goes on playing for Manchester United for the four remaining years of his contract or succumbs to a bid by Real Madrid which could reportedly earn him £180,000 a week, according to another source.
His call makes it clear Ronaldo won’t break the promise. (Isn’t he so cute?) The player was told he must be back at United three weeks from the day Portugal’s interest in Euro 2008 ended — July 10 — and he has said he will be there.
Now Ron is holidaying with his girlfriend Nereida Gallardo in Sardinia, making soaring temperature heat with their visible affection for each other.
