Three-time European football champion Germany has won the opening Group B match at the Euro 2008 winning Poland.
Germany managed to have the two Poland’s best footballers to play for them in Euro 2008. It was Kloze who got the ball all the way to the net and passed it to Podolsky to score the first goal into an empty net.

Kloze is the guy. I can imagine the heat, sweat and fast heartbeat of Kloze and Podolsky’s anger, frustration and desire to win. Those are the main ingredients of Euro 2008. Ladies, call me sick, but it is fantastic!

Lukas Podolski scored a goal in each half Sunday and leaded to 2 – 0 win in Klagenfurt, Austria. He’s 23 and was born in Poland. If he wanted he would play for Poland. I wonder how he felt like to play for Germany while being hated by his own people. I’m sure he heard a lot of the ‘kurva’ word during the game form his rivals/fellow countrymen. He blasted a rebound into the Polish net in the 72nd minute.
Watch the video of the 2nd goal. It is perfect.
Earlier on Sunday, June 8th Croatia won over host Austria 1 – 0 at Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna. Luka Modric kicked a penalty in the fourth minute.

Tonight the tournament continues in Bern for World Cup champ Italy playing against Netherlands. I wonder who I will watch the ‘big game’ with tonight. Wink.
Later on today on Monday, June 9th France will play Romania in Zurich.
