Emma Watson: Reasons To Deny Fame

Newly graduate from Harry Potter, Emma Watson decided to return to her study at one of the Ivy League Colleges – Brown University in the U.S. In April, the star quitted her study but promised to be back. The reason of her leaving was Harry Potter final part and other projects related to her acting career.

Despite she is planning to complete her degree at the University, this academic year she’ll spend at Oxford University.

I’m still a student at Brown. It’s just that I’ll spend my third year abroad – at Oxford. Then I’ll return to Brown to complete my last year.

Recently there was a rumor that her Brown University “friends” bullied her; however this fact was denied. Being a victim of sensation hunters, the Harry Potter star just increases her popularity. But, as she says, she wants to be treated like a normal girl. Do dark sides of fame really exist?

“Fame pressure”

When she intended to study at the University she wished her roommate wouldn’t be a Harry Potter fan. And seems her wish came true.

It made me so sad when all this stuff came out that I left Brown because I was being bullied. It made no sense at all. Brown has been the opposite. I’ve never even been asked for an Autograph on campus. I threw a party for nearly 100 students and not a single person put a photo on Facebook.

Moreover, she wanted to be accepted not as ‘Emma Watson who starred in those Harry Potter films’ but ‘Emma Watson, the student from the UK’.

About boys

She says that her fame sometimes harms as it’s difficult for her to have romantic relationships with guys. Not every man can sustain an endless stream of rumors about his famous date.

Being famous complicates things much more. I suppose that some boys feel a bit intimidated by me and stay on their guard.
