Though the 59th Berlin International Film festival is history now, it doesn’t mean we can forget the redcarpet and A-listers showing off glam and style in Berlin.
Here are some bright moments of the Berlinale fashion, some I’m sure I will not soon forget.
Lady in red
Renee Zellweger arrived in Berlin to premiere her new movie My One and Only. She looked hot in a tomato-coloured wrap dress, matching red shoes and red cocktail ring.
Well, she was glam and stylish but the only drawback was that the redcarpet was also red, and I felt she was kinda merging into the background.
Timelessly beautiful
Could you believe she’s 50?
Michelle Pfeiffer dazzled as she walked the red carpet at the Cheri premiere. Opting for classic black, she looked wonderful and much-much younger her age.
If you think hitting 40 is liberating, wait till you hit 50 – and I was surprised at how liberating it was!” Ms. Pfeiffer said.
Navy blue enthralled
Zhang Ziyi reminded me of a petite princess when she showed up on the Berlinale redcarpet to premiere latest film, Forever Enthralled. I loved the deep blue color of her dress and her accessories.
How lively!
Blake Lively worked out her curves in Oscar De La Renta premiering The Private Lives of Pippa Lee at the festival. Her dress was like a breath of spring on a cold February day in the heart of Europe. Loved it.
Perfect match
Demi Moore and her cute hubby Ashton Kutcher made a wonderful fashion match on the Berlinale redcarpet they attended to present Moore’s Happy Tears. And though PETA was outraged at them for using fur for their coats, they looked wonderful. I can’t even say whose outfit I liked more, and I come to think it was Ashton’s.
Suit case
And these stars opted to don pantsuits at Berlinale. Keira Knightley wore Chloé to the premiere of Cheri starring her boyfriend Rupert Friend. I can’t say I loved the suit but it was definitely one of the few to remember.
And another actress to dress in a suit was The Pink Panther 2 star Aishwarya Rai. She was elegantly black at the photocall and her suit looked great against the bright pink Panther.
