Will British and Dutch moviegoers be able to enjoy Alice in Wonderland 3D this year?
If I were deprived on watching Alice in 3D I would be really really disappointed and angry (meaning even more bitchy than usual). Still, Holland and Britain are reported to be contemplating over banning the 3D extravagance from movie theatres cause of the plans to launch the movie on DVD three months after it hits cinemas. As a rule, DVD release is scheduled 17 weeks after the big screen premiere.
So the studio decision stops cinema bosses in Holland and now the UK from releasing the movie in theatres – they simply refuse to show it at all.
UK’s Odeon, Vue and Cineworld account for 60% of British big screens, and more than 90% of 3-D screens, the source revealed.
Do you think it’s fair?
So sorry for British fans of Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Mia Wasikowsky and others who star in this super exciting new take on Lewis Carroll’s novel.
