Rihanna: “My farther sold my story to media”

Ri has hell of a year. First there was the February 8th assault case with ex boyfriend Chris Brown and now it’s her farther Ronald Fenty from whom the singer has been estranged for almost a year.

According to Rihanna, her dad embarrassed and disappointed her several times before she stopped talking to him. However, she’s made several attempts to reconcile but her dad hasn’t responded though telling media sources they’ve reconciled after he tried to put things right.

I’ve been the one trying to reconcile with him. I haven’t heard from my father in over a year. I try though, I reached out to him. I did my part. Now it’s on him,” the singer said during Ryan Seacrest’s Kiis FM radio show.

Ri was “very upset” when her farther leaked her side of the story to the media after the assault case last February:

He got paid to talk about stuff – all these little interviews he was doing after the whole situation in February. I hadn’t spoken to him and he was speaking as though we did. It was so disappointing to me.”

Nonetheless, Mr. Fenty has so far made no attempt to make up with his famous daughter. He ignored all her messages and attempts to reconcile. Ri has given up trying.
