MJ’s doctor: “I’m not guilty”
Michael Jackson’s personal doctor Conrad Murray pled not guilty yesterday after being charged with involuntary manslaughter of the King of Pop.
According to court papers, Murray is accused of acting “unlawfully and without malice” and “without the caution and circumspection required.”
Murray was the one to administer Propofol, a powerful sedative, to Jackson in an effort to help him fall asleep. As it’s been recently revealed MJ’s cause of death is acute Propofol intoxication.
While Jackson’s family member “are looking for justice”, Murray’s lawyer said he’d “fight like hell” to make sure his client is acquitted of the charge. If accused, Murray faces up to four years in jail.
According to the source, there’re still a lot of disputable points in Murray’s statement, one of which is his unidentified non-emergency cell phone calls he was making in between the time he found Michael and he called emergency. Those calls lasted 47 minutes.
The source added:
Los Angeles investigators were methodical in building a case against Murray, wary of repeating missteps that have plagued some other high-profile celebrity cases, most notably O.J. Simpson and actor Robert Blake, both of whom were acquitted of murder.”
RIP Michael, we still miss you
