Mike Tyson weds 2 weeks after daughter’s death
Grief and despair take different forms. For some, it’s getting locked up in the house to cry their eyes out, and for some like Mike Tyson, getting married in a hush-hush Las Vegas ceremony two weeks after the tragic death of his four-year-old daughter.
Former heavyweight boxer married for the third time in a Las Vegas chapel on Saturday night. His new wife, Lakiha Spicer, is 32.
According to the chapel’s owner, they got the marriage license just 30 minutes before the ceremony.
They just wanted to say the vows and be married,” he said. “It was very sincere.”
Mike’s previous two marriages lasted for a year and five years, respectively.
Tyson’s four-year-old daughter died in a tragic accident on May 25 after strangling herself with a treadmill cord.
