Lindsay Lohan Sues Pitbull!

Notorious Lindsay Lohan attracts public attention to her personality once more. She is in the court again; however this time she isn’t a defendant but a plaintiff. Give Me Everything song reached staggering success becoming the biggest hit of Pitbull, Ne-Yo and Afrojack. The song occupied the first position on the Hot 100 in June, 2011. Besides, 2.96 million copies have been sold worldwide.

Despite Give Me Everything caught audience’s fancy, Lindsay Lohan isn’t so enthusiastic about the song. The actress is indignant at using her name in the hit. “Hustlers move aside, so I’m tiptoeing, to keep flowing/I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan”. These “offensive words” forced Lindsay to sue the creators and performers of this song. In other words, “the lyrics, by virtue of its wide appeal, condemnation, excoriation, disparaging or defamatory statements by the defendants about the plaintiff are destined to do irreparable harm to the plaintiff.”

What does Lindsay Lohan request? She wants the court to issue an injunction to stop the broadcasting of the song. Lindsay’s legal action presents the actress as “a professional actor of good repute and standing in the Screen Actors Guild, is suing under the New York civil rights laws, which protects people from having their name exploited for commercial purposes.”
