Jay-Z Sued for Stealing Parts Of His Memoir Book ‘Decoded’

Rapper Jay-Z is in legal trouble over his Decoded book! Patrick White filed lawsuit regarding a copyright infringement lawsuit last Wednesday (June 13). In his hand-written suit, filed in the United States District Court, Central District, White accuses Jay of illegally plagiarising work published in the book. You know what? I tend to believe this man – Jay-z doesn’t even write his own lyrics anymore. He’s so overrated and over-hyped. Dude just knows how to pick the right people to help him get to placed without actually doing anything himself. What to expect from a man, whose absolutely healthy wife hired a surrogate mom?

Jay-Z has been hit with a copyright lawsuit over his memoir Decoded.

So, Whie alleged:

In 2009, my personal computer was compromised, resulting in my personal work to be used in Jay-Z’s book Decoded which was released in 2010. The book contains various expressions/colors/phrases, which correlates to my work. After contacting or attempting to contact the co-author, I got no reply.”

According to Allhiphop.com, Patrick White is suing for copyright infringement and invasion of property. In addition to Jay-Z, author Dream Hampton and Random House are also named in the lawsuit.

Jay-Z’s 2010 book is a collection of lyrics and the story behind their meanings. The Amazon annotation for the immodest star, who refers to himself as Hova, a contraction of Jehova, is certainly not without hype. It says:

Decoded is a book like no other: a collection of lyrics and their meanings that together tell the story of a culture, an art form, a moment in history, and one of the most provocative and successful artists of our time.”

Jay-Z. Why to ‘write’ a book if you just plagiarise? Nothing surprising though. We are talking about a man who threatened to retire from music forever if his CD failed to beat Kanye Wests’ to the #1 slot. Disgusting.
