Christina LaCroix filed for bankruptcy

Sad, really sad

One of the most extravagant fashion houses famous for original ideas, exquisite approach and unforgettable styles has filed for voluntary bankruptcy to seek court protection from their creditors.

Global financial crisis and the consequent decrease in sales afffected Christian Lacroix’s business solvency and brought the 22-year-old company to the verge of getting broke.

However, the company’s management remains optimistic.

We have a very dedicated group of clients. The perception of the brand and its power is very strong. It’s the key to future development,” Christina Lacroix’s CEO Nicolas Topiol told WWD.com.
