Beyonce Denies Pillow Baby Rumors

Remember rumors that Beyonce was faking her pregnancy – i.e. wearing a prosthetic bump? Bump that folded and collapsed on national television? The one that was used to hide the fact that she and her husband Jay-Z were using a surrogate to carry their first child? It appeared that Bey was well aware of the rumors, and nearly four months after the birth of her daughter, Blue Ivy, she’s opening up about how they made her feel. Beyonce tells People:

That was crazy. It wasn’t hurtful, it was just crazy. [I thought] ‘Where did they come up with this?’”

Beyonce says fake pregnancy rumors are crazy.

Beyonce knows very well how this stuff started. The rumor popped up when Beyonce debuted her bump in true stunt queen fashion at the MTV VMAs and then it took on a new life when her belly folded in half like she wasn’t pregnant at all. But Beyonce has an answer for that:

It was a fabric that folded — does fabric not fold? Oh my gosh, so stupid.”

While Bey might have been more baffled than hurt, her mom, Tina Knowles, found the stories ‘painful’:

I thought it was very unfair and very cruel that someone would think that someone would be that diabolical to keep up a charade like that for nine months. As a mother it was painful for me to hear the crazy rumors. And I even had people ask me, which was so ridiculous.”

If Beyonce was puzzled by the gossip following an Australian TV interview, some mistook folds in her outfit for evidence of a fake belly – the pop titan said she felt plenty of support once Blue Ivy arrived:

There was so much love and well wishes from all over the world — it made it easier to deal with the stupid rumors.”

Actually, I do not what to believe – her prothestic bump or her denial. But I do tend to think that she hired a surrogate mother – Ingrid Jackson…

P.S. Beyonce performing at the the Roseland just a week before her appearance at the Video Music Awards (the very first pic). How the hell can she explain that? Could a baby bump get so big in a week?
