Black sashes and belts

Instead of traditional all-white wedding gown, Fall 2008 collections bring together black sashes and belts around the waist. Such fashion designers like Alfred Angelo add this modern and sophisticated touch to the traditional dress, even if only on the runway.

Blue and silver metallic dresses

Reem Acra’s collection for Fall 2008 features a whole lineup of pastel-blue colored dresses accented with silver and metallic threads. The fairytale-like gowns are the epitome of luxury with their rich satin, lace, and chiffon accents and mermaid-style cuts.

Toga-style dresses

The toga dress is a top trend for women’s dresses in 2008, and it’s also showing up in the bridal department. The toga dress is designed with a unique, flowing cut that is less fitted around the waist and hips. The Grecian-inspired look is a romantic touch for any wedding, and designers such as Wtoo Brides and Demetrios featured this goddess look in the Fall 2008 wedding gown collections.

Crystal brocades

Brocade embellishments are always a popular choice for wedding dresses, and the Fall 2008 collections featured many dresses with crystal and silver embellishments on the simple white dress. Piccione’s collection made the most of this trend with beautiful bustier and train detailing.

Jewel tones are back for Fall 2008 in vibrant red, green, and even yellow colors. Jewel toned wedding dresses offer a luxurious touch to any wedding, and are a bold, modern twist on the traditional white lace or chiffon gowns.

Claire Danes slips into a teeny-tiny red bikini to catch some sun outside Hotel Regina Isabella. She was there with her British boyfriend Hugh Dancy.

The couple arrived to Ischia, an Italian island in the bay of Naples, for the Ischia Global Film and Music Festival.

Sporting a strapless red tiny bikini, Miss Danes enjoyed the beautiful weather and at one point even jumped in the hotel’s luxurious pool to cool off.

Just a week ago Claire Danes and boyfriend Hugh Dancy attended the 70th Anniversary of the Gucci Via Condotti store and Gucci 2009 Resort Collection, held at the Villa Aurelia in Rome, Italy on Tuesday.

The 29-year-old Romeo and Juliet actress, who just starred in Gucci’s latest jewelry campaign, sat front and center at the event. Claire said:

Gucci is just the definition of glamour and luxury and it’s incredibly feminine and sexy and powerful”

When not taking a dip in the pool, Hugh was seen reading Blackwater: The Rise of the World’s Most Powerful Mercenary Army by Jeremy Scahill. The book details the rise of Blackwater USA, a private military company, and the growth of security contracting in Iraq and the War on Terror.

Cristiano Ronaldo has hit America and he is causing quite a stir. He is the world’s best football player right now, and he’s got breathtaking looks.

The Manchester United striker is currently in LA on an undisclosed business trip. When asked by Hollyscoop.com reporter if he’s ready to move to LA immediately, the 23 years old sports super star replied:

I have time, I have time, I prefer to play in Europe…it’s better in the moment, but the future no one knows.”

When asked if Galaxy would ever be an option for him, my sweetheart Ronaldo said:

The Dark Knight is a long awaited and a pretty sad premier. The follow-up to 2005’s hit Batman Begins, The Dark Knight is said to prove to be one of 2008’s highest grossing summer blockbusters. The Dark Knight is on starting July 18.

Christian Bale returns to take on the Joker and Two-Face, two of the comic’s most brutal and unpredictable villains. The film is worth watching because of several reasons and one of them is that it’s the last film Heath Ledger (The Joker) starred in before he prematurely died in January this year.

Sadly, Heath is not with us any longer. But he will asways remain in our hearts.

Among other July 18th big movie premieres there are:

Mamma Mia! is a stage musical based comedy with a really all-star cast. Meryl Streep is the mama, and Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth or Stellan Skarsgard might be the daddies in this movie about a bride’s search for her real dad. The film is set to ABBA music. But that’s not the main reason I wanna see it. The real worthwhile reason is Maryl Streep’s acrobatic feats. She’s 59, I wish I’ll be able to do such things when I’m 59.

The film seems like fun. At least the play has always been a success.

Space Chimps is a talking-monkey comedy about Ham III who comes from a proud lineage of chimp astronauts, and who is the prime candidate for a special mission for an opportunity-seeking Senator. His mission involves taking down an evil overlord of a far-away planet.

The comedy features the voices of Patrick Warburton, Cheryl Hines, Stanley Tucci and Kristen Chenoweth.

Kanye West, N.E.R.D and Wyclef Jean are set to perform in support of Barack Obama at the forthcoming Democratic National Convention.

Some say that politics are getting flashier. Well, I’d say the whole world got a little flashier… The event will take place in Denver on August, 25 and will be joined by a string of Hollywood stars who will also show up to support the Democratic presidential candidate.

The A – list celebrities include Ben Affleck, Scarlett Johansson, Forest Whitaker, Ed Norton and Maggie Gyllenhaal.

Actors are all slated to come out to back Obama over the four-day event which will also see a party for Bono’s ONE campaign, according to the Washington Post.

Looks like Playboy’s Girls Next Door Playmates are loving the media attention. First, it was Holly, now it’s Kendra! Who’s next? Hopefully, not Hugh Hefner himself.

That would be super dumb.

So the issue is that girls hate each other but pretend to be best friends and announce it on the official blogs. Well, I don’t care for the truth… it’s just so very entertaining.

I am so sick of all the dumb rumors going around. Especially since every gossip outlet tries to outdo the one that beat them to the punch first by making the stories more and more ridiculous.
The stories about Kendra and I not getting along are so stale. I think we get along better than ever. When I was in New York and she was in Mexico, we were texting each other all the time. Just because I am usually seen out with Bridget and other friends does not mean I don’t like Kendra. We just don’t do as many things together outside the Mansion.

I am so sick of all the “sources” that are quoted. If TMZ wants to take a video of me and make it funny, that’s fine. But Page 6 quoting a dumbass hater that has no clue what they are talking about is lame. Especially when they don’t even bother to get my side or Kendra’s side of the story. The most they get is a generic response from our pr.

The latest Page 6 story is especially dumb. Saying I am jealous of Kendra because she has an “empire” and I’m “just sitting around with Hef”? What “empire”? I guess because I have a real full-time job aside from The Girls Next Door (excuse me for having a brain and having something REAL going on in my life as opposed to following in the footsteps of the socialite-of-the-week) means I am “sitting around” doing nothing. I guess having people announce clothing lines and workout products that never come to fruition means you are doing something.

According to this source, Kendra was never Hef’s girlfriend and was brought on specifically for the show. None of this is true. No one was even discussing a show about “Hef’s girlfriends” untill long after Kendra had moved in.

All 3 of us have projects we are working on, including spin-off pilots, and expect to do several projects together in the future. That’s all I have to say about that.

what the hell is goin on??? haha

Ok i really dont know whats goin on out there in media world i feel like its me against the world right now. The internet is evil and people have every right to judge but i just wish people would be a lil more sensitive..I never said i was leaving, i never talk shit, i never try n step on anyone up here. Im just tryin to do what i gotta do to live and survive in this cold, nasty world n no im not meaning playboy mansion world, dont twist that haha!!

The show and the media can make me out to be whatever the hell they want me to be and its out of my hands. I cant sit here everyday n try n change peoples minds n get peole to love me, but i cant and i dont expect everyone to love me. I have my family and my couple close friends i love and that will do anything for me n i love all of my fans n i try to do my best and show my appreciation..all you can do is try and if you feel like in your heart you are giving everyday 100% i think thats all that should matter and yes things dont always workout in life like buisness but i dont give up, im a fuckin fighter n ima keep on fightin!!

I am a very stong person but i get really sad when people and people i frickin live with believe rumors n gossip. I really dont go on the internet cuz like i said, Its evil! but every now n then ill change my music on my page and write blogs defending myself hahaha!! Yes i know i have an annoying laugh but ITS MY LAUGH n theres nothin i can do bout that so im sorry if yall have to put up w it!!!!

On Saturday night target teen audience gathered at Irvine’s Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre “that would set aflutter the heart of any marketer worth his metrics,” characterizes the Los Angeles Times.

The joyful tribe of 15,000 tweens was bound by the bright garb of Hot Topic, Abercrombie & Fitch and other mall stores, and sparkly cellphones, the palm-sweaty medium for cryptic-cute messages.

The screens that flanked the stage were filled with text messages sent from the crowd saying “I luv u Nick!” and ads including one for the band’s charity foundation, ChangeForTheChildren.org

How fantastic it is to have internet nowadays! Paris Hilton can easily communicate with her fans straight from her blog and tell them what’s true and what’s not about her. This time she is declining rumors of moving to Nicole Richie’s neighborhood with her boyfriend Benji Madden. Read her message yourself:

Hey guys, hope you all had a great weekend. Once again, I am blown away by more lies that are going around, and wanted to clear them up with all of you. I’m sick of Page Six and other gossip sites printing completely false stories. It’s not fair because these lies then spread like wildfire online and people begin to believe they are true, just because they read the same story on so many different sites. I am tired of not commenting on the rumors I hear and I think it’s fair for you to know the truth.
From now on I plan to address these when they come to my attention. I still do not know why these stories get so much circulation–they cross the line between silly tabloid gossip into hateful speculating. They involve completely false rumors about not only what I allegedly do, but about the people in my personal life and family.

Page Six reported that I have moved into Benji’s neighborhood, and that Nicole is upset by this…SO NOT TRUE! First of all, I don’t even live in Glendale. Secondly, I have my own home in a gated community in Beverly Hills–that’s where I live. I haven’t been to Glendale in months. Where do they come up with this?

As most of you know, I moved away from my old–and very accessible–house because I was sick and tired of constant invasion of my private life. I love my fans but I could not leave for a meeting or walk my dog without a camera pushing inside my front door on to personal property. I feel so much happier and safer in my new home. I’ve been renovating it for the past year and totally made it my style. I’ve seen pictures online that are supposedly the inside of my new home, but they’re not. Those pictures were taken off a private real estate site from the previous owners’ interior. The house looks so much different and it underwent such a big transformation into my dream home. I couldn’t be happier!

So anyway, back to what I was saying: I am thankful that I know who my true friends and colleagues are, and I encourage my fans to ignore worthless stories like this. There is too much going on in the world, and in your own lives, to waste time reading lies. Such a disappointment but as always, you’ll get the true story from me!

This weekend stars came out in the name of fashion and music. Famous boutique Intermix celebrated the 2008 VH1 Rock Honors. The event took place on the Robertson Boulevard and turned into an exclusive party and benefited the VH1 Save The Music Foundation.

Celebrity guest list included Karina Smirnoff, Selena Gomez, David Henrie, Audrina Patridge, and Kim Kardashian wearing super sexy yellow Miguelina dress.

Lauren Conrad showed up in Elizabeth & James, Audrina Patridge in Filthy Mouth Clothing and Jules Smith bangles.

The Intermix owners Khajak Keledjian and Haro Keledjian hosted the event. And by the way, limited edition of VH1 Rock Honors t-shirt, designed by Scarlett Johansson was presented exclusively.
