As some reviews say, the Full Battle Rattle film, opening at New York film Forum tomorrow, is like a practice piece until you can handle the real documentary about the Iraq War. Full Battle Rattle is more like a simulation of a documentary about the Iraq War than an actual example. It’s all about simulation here, actually.

Full Battle Rattle is the story of a real war and a fake town. In California’s Mojave Desert the US army has built “a virtual Iraq”, a billion dollar urban warfare simulation (formerly known as the National Training Center at Fort Irwin), and populated it with hundreds of Iraqi role-players. Army units spend three weeks inside the simulation before deploying to Iraq. The film follows the army through the simulation.

A new read for the younger generation of kinda SATC type of girls. Lauren Weisberger has done an excellent job with Devil Wears Prada, but this one I’m not so sure… I have a feeling it will be just better than ok. I liked the three girls’ characters, enjoy their description and learning about the character makes one decide whether she or he wants to read the book or not.

Karl Lagerfeld, for Chanel, built ultra elegant frocks out of stiff fabrics. His skirts and sleeves are sticking out in silhouettes: the simple skirts, hourglass dresses and satin column skirts. Karl composed “spaghetti” from frothed tulle frills and sheaves. Designer tried to catch the younger customer, with his short skirts, but he still has enough here for the superannuated customer.

Oh, these Chanel jackets in gunmetal and aluminum tweed! They shimmered with tube-like silver beading, fringing and crystals. Some were bound with 3-D piping to reflect the traditional Chanel trim. Loved the frames around models’ heads.

Blake Fielder-Civil is currently awaiting his sentencing after pleading guilty to grievous bodily harm (GBH) and perverting the course of justice following an attack on pub landlord James King in June 2006.

James King says the troubled couple has ruined his life. After getting beaten up by Blake and his friend Michael Brown, James King had to go through 12 hour surgery. Now he’s wearing metal plates and bolts to reconstruct his face. This is what can happen to practically anyone in East London if Blake is out.

Here’s what James King has to say:

I hope both Blake and Amy rot. The first time I met him was when his boot was smashing into my face. Since then I’ve been to hell and back because he’s stupid enough to think he could buy his freedom through his marriage to her and her millions.”

James King claims to have been bribed, threatened and held at gunpoint by Anthony Kelly. Apparently, he was told to take £200,000 and move out from the country or face being knocked out, blindfolded and driven to Europe in the boot of a car.

Blake Fielder-Civil is due to sentenced on Thursday July 10.

As well as claiming he was clean, papers report Fielder-Civil has been sending sexual letters to a fellow convict, one of which states that Amy would be up for a threesome. No way, this is too much! I mean this is made up. But even if this was true, the fact that Blake has written such words down who cares? Sex. Everyone has sex and there is nothing wrong with a threesome.

It’s a girl! Nicole Kidman and her husband, Keith Urban, have welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, born Monday morning in Nashville, Tennessee, PEOPLE reported. The baby girl weighs 6 lbs., 7.5 oz.

“Husband Keith was by Nicole’s side, and mother and baby are very well,” said spokesman Paul Freundlich.

The new parents had enough time to get ready for the precious addition to the family. ”She [Nicole] has never been happier and healthier,” said a close family friend. “She is absolutely radiant and enjoying nesting and homemaking with Keith at their new home in Nashville.”

Keith Urban admitted to the source he was learning a new vocabulary for fatherhood and doing Lamaze lessons. “He doesn’t know the name [of the classes], but he has been very good at it!” Kidman told a local radio station on June 24. The new parents also bought a couple of books to help them along: Pocket Dad: Everyday Wisdom and Your Pregnancy, Week By Week.

”The unknown excites me a lot,” Urban told in May. “What kind of feelings will fatherhood bring? I’m sure I can’t even imagine, but I am really looking forward to finding out.” Looks like it’s time to learn what it’s like being a parent, Keith!

Nicole Kidman has two other children with her ex hubby Tom Cruise: Isabella, 15, and Connor, 13. But Sunday Rose is her first biological child.

Finally her Madgesty Madonna has denied the dirty rumors of her secret romance with New York Yankees baseball player Alex Rodriguez. And, finally, she also says she loves Guy Ritchie and is has not filed for divorce! Hopefully, it’s true.

My husband and I are not planning on getting a divorce. I know Alex Rodriguez through Guy Oseary, who manages both of us. I brought my kids to a Yankee game. I am not romantically involved in any way with Alex Rodriguez. I have nothing to do with the state of his marriage or what spiritual path he may choose to study. Her spokesman and longtime representative Liz Rosenberg has released the statement above denying reports that Madonna’s marriage to Guy is heading for divorce. The statement says “Madonna’s husband Guy arrived in New York last night to be with his wife and family. There are no plans for Madonna and Guy to divorce.”

And hopefully, this wasn’t her hubby’s last attempt to save the marriage. I don’t fully believe what they (celebrities) say, of course Madonna wouldn’t say anything if she was going to ditch one Guy for another Guy’s friend, so if she’s not keeping silent, that means it is more or less true. As Paris Fashion Week got all the fashion freaks world wide going crazy there are few designers that have made it so very haute couture that it is off the top. Extreme femininity and a sheer in your heart is a natural reaction to Christian Lacroix works. More of an art, rather than just fashion.

Just as was expected lots of black, gothic lace, bows, pearls, rhinestones and some embroidery. Imagine all of that in the all-glass Pompidou centre. Imagine another thing! Each Lacroix dress takes about 400 hours to make.

Oh, yes, I would wear it!

Jean-Paul Gaultier’s ornate bodice “cages” and skirts were literally sculpted from thick sausages of silk satin, looped and twirled like cornelli lace.

Not impressed at all. It kinds of gets too old and ugly: does anyone want to look like a cake these days? Moreover, PETA hates you for using too much fur.

One of the few things I liked was the new idea for fringe. The bright underline is very playful. It looks like it was sprayed right on the forehead.

Overall, call me a bitch, but I find Gaultier’s collection this year extremely ugly and I would never wear it for this ammount of money, well, even if I was payed by the house to wear it. Don’t want to look like the Cruella de Vil. Really.

Can there be anything better than being hot and being elegant? These cover girls and the boy know, what I’m talking about. These are most elegant celeb cover stars of this month. And don’t even try to tell me you don’t find them glam and gorgeous.

Fantastic Kill Bill star Uma Thurman is gracing this month’s Vogue issue. If all women looked that fabulous approaching 40… A great and really elegant outfit consisting of a silk blouse, jeweled belt, organza and silk net skirt, accompanied by the matching necklace makes her look gorgeous at this cover.

Gwyneth Paltrow looks positively flawless in Versace on the July 2008 cover of Harper’s Bazaar. “You know, I don’t want to look like a mother who doesn’t care. For myself, for my work and for my relationship, I want to look good,” the star said. And she does look good in that great bright pink dress.

The Devil Wears Prada star Anne Hathaway is looking smart gracing InSyle’s July cover. As the magazine revealed, Agent 99’s alter ego is a master decoder of personal style. So sexy and smiley, Anne Hathaway seems like the greatest attraction for buyers. Just confess you couldn’t help but get yourself the mag because she was smiling so irresistibly!

British singing star Leona Lewis is featured on the July 2008 cover of Blender magazine. “I don’t wear little miniskirts and low-cut tops. Famous old Hollywood glamour is felt in the air when you’re looking at her Vanity Fair cover, while Entertainment Weekly cover looks more like down-to-earth but naturally beautiful. That’s Angie, a woman in full.

What I like about Arena magazine this month is Shia Labeouf’s cover. He’s so cute! Bet you all’d love to have a romantic date with the Indy star by the pool? A man in an elegant black suit is always attractive.
