VMA wants Britney

Britney Spears VMA 2007

will be held on September, 7 and aired live from Paramount Pictures Studios in Los Angeles. It’s possible we’ll be able to see perform at the show this year too.

“Everyone deserves a second or third chance, right?” Van Toffler, president of MTV Networks Music Group, told the AP yesterday. “I’m not sure how we top Britney opening the show. We are working on it.”

If she does perform this year everyone will be really curious to see if her performing skill’ve got better since last year’s VMA when she opened the show with her then-new single “Gimme more.” Her infamous performance was the main thing I remembered about the show at all.

Viewers and Britney herself were hugely disappointed by her performance. Seemed she had taken a lot of sleeping pills before getting on stage. Her dance was awkward, she couldn’t even lip-synch to her own song. Well, it was her worst performance so far. (Sorry Brit, but it’s true.)

I hope her performance this year will be up to the level. Can’t wait to hit the show. Good luck, Brit!
