Susan Boyle comes 2nd. Is that fair?
Britain’s Got Talent final on Saturday night left many thousands of people disappointed and lost. Everybody thought Susan Boyle would win the talent contest but the 47 year old spinster from Scotland found herself a runner up to the dance troupe Diversity. Is that fair?
It was a bitter-sweet moment, indeed. Susan was great, so were the dancers.
At the final show Susan gave a wonderful performance of ‘I Dreamed A Dream’, her angelic voice sound great in spite of a cold the singer was having that night.
Though losing in the voting ballot, Susan managed to win our hearts, strictest Britain’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell confessed he “absolutely adored her”, while Piers Morgan said her performance was the greatest in the show’s history:
I’m not supposed to favor anyone, I should be impartial, but you know what, forget it. That was the greatest performance I’ve seen in Britain’s Got Talent history. You should win this competition. I loved it!” he said.
But coming second doesn’t mean Susan will vanish from the global showbiz arena. After Susan has accomplished all her Britain’s Got Talent Finalist obligations, she’ll head to Czech Republic to record her first album with Sony BMG.
Simon Cowell who’s also in charge of promotion, thinks Susan can have a No 1 in America. Industry experts predict earnings of up to $15 million in her first year, or perhaps even more.
So, she lost a battle but she’ll definitely win the war! Go, go, go Susan!
