Lady GaGa’s new video – sex, murder, paparazzi
That’s not a typical pop video. It’s pretty tough, pretty risque and pretty provocative, pretty Lady GaGa.
The It singer presented her new video for the song ‘Paparazzi.’ The video was directed by Jonas Akerlund and explores dirtiest ways of getting famous.
The video begins with a steamy love scene of Lady GaGa and her in-video boyfriend making out on the terrace of their villa overlooking the Mediterranean shore. The first several episodes are in Italian and look pretty sexy.
Lady GaGa’s interpretation of fame sick is really hyperbolic, so get ready to see her in the wheelchair, lying dead on the pavement and poisoning her boyfriend in revenge. What else is she ready to do to get famous? Get ready for some lesbian making out scenes!
The video explores ideas about sort of hyperbolic situations that people will go to in order to be famous. Most specifically, pornography and murder. These are some of the major themes in the video,” the singer explained.
Generally, I like the video, though it’s kinda shocking at first. Can’t wait to see the “explicit late night version” that GaGa will debut on June 4 on UK’s Channel 4.
