From Around The Web: Demi Lovato to Judge ‘X Factor’ Alonside Britney Spears

Demi Lovato will officially be judging The X Factor! After weeks of speculation and battle with Miley Cyrus for the vacant judge seat, Lovato has signed a deal to judge The X Factor Season 2 and will be in New York to make the official announcement during Fox‘s upfronts presentation, in which the network’s upcoming shows will be revealed.

Demi Lovato has signed on to be a judge on the next season of The X Factor.

Britney Spears is also expected to be on hand to announce her new reported judging position on The X Factor today as well. Spears reportedly signed a $15 million contract last week to join The X Factor judges panel for Season 2.

The X Factor began searching for two new judges – and two hosts – after Season 1 when judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger along with host Steve Jones were fired. Cowell began searching for replacement judges and hosts almost immediately.

There’s no idea who is going to host the show in Season 2. Glee star Darren Criss recently denied rumors about hosting the show, while George Clooney’s current girlfriend, former wrestler Stacy Kiebler, is said to be in talks to host as well.

Huh, I can’t say I’m happy that Lovato has become the fourth judge at the show – actually I was hoping for Pink… But at least she’s way better than Miley.
