With her son old enough to have a nanny, Christina Aguilera, 28, can finally get back to managing her career.
Big-voiced bombshell is planning to expand her career and explore a new field, the field of musicals and movies.
Christina is reportedly signed on to star in Burlesque, a contemporary musical set in a neo-burlesque club in Los Angeles.
The movie that’s set to begin production in January 2010 will become Christina’s movie debut.
I couldn’t be more excited, as this was a project written with her in mind,” the film’s director, Steve Antin told Variety, adding that Burlesque is a “contemporary take on the traditional burlesque that derived from vaudeville, with singing, dancing, comedy and more tease than striptease.”
Well, we want more striptease than tease from Aguilera, don’t we?
Time will tell if Christina can make a good actress or fuck up like Mariah Carey, instead.
