According to The Sun, the actor will get a staggering $33.6 million pay for the fourth part of the Pirates of The Caribbean, On Stranger Tides, that’s supposed to be released in 2011.
Disney was so eager to get the actor back to the franchise that money was no problem, especially when Depp is the only one coming back to the movie, as Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom will nor reprise their roles this time around.
According to reports, Penelopa Kruz will be the lead lady in the new movie.
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides will “feature flashbacks to Jack’s early life.”
FYI, the first three parts of the super popular franchise have grossed more than $2.5 billion at the worldwide box office. Impressive, hah?
