Extortioner George Washinton
For many of us, George Washington is an amazing politician and a very trustworthy person. But a few people know that he tricked the Government for giving him incredible sum of cash money before he was elected. Washington did this by rejecting a decent monthly wage and telling the Government that he would keep all the checks on his life expenses. At within 8 years the Government should have given him over 4.250.000 dollars. He understood that he would get about 1000 $ a year and said the Government Counselor:
Sir, I beg leave to assure the Congress that as no pecuniary consideration could have tempted me to have accepted this arduous employment, I do not wish to make any profit from it. I will keep an exact account of my expenses. Those I doubt not they will discharge, and that is all I desire.
Washington, being a very smart man, tried to carry out the same trick when he was elected President but he was refused and given a set salary of $25,000 per year.
Dirrrty old man
Mohandas Karamchad Gandhi contributed to India’s independence, actually exactly Gandhi gained liberty for India. Very interesting fact regarding this great person: he took up a life of celibacy at the age of 36. Still, the older he got, the more charmed he got with the theme of sex. In order to “enhance” his celibate state, Gandhi slept with naked young women. One of those women was the 16 year old wife of his grand-nephew Kanu Gandhi. Another one was his 19 year old grandniece Manu Gandhi, whose father got a letter from Gandhi in which he told that they were sleeping together so that he could “correct her sleeping posture”. When Gandi’s stenographer R. P. Parasuram found him sleeping nude with Manu, he exclaimed in disgust.
Churchill – racist
Sir Winston Churchill is famous for his great political career. He was an outstanding orator, possessed stunning writing skills and took part in many affairs that changed the world we live in. Nevertheless, Sir Winston had one very negative feature – he was a racist. In his books he wrote that it was ideally humane and ethical to use poisons to get rid of ‘uncivilized’ tribes.
Churchill wrote to Palestine Royal Commission, 1937:
I do not admit… that a great wrong has been done to the Red Indians of America, or the black people of Australia… by the fact that a stronger race, a higher grade race… has come in and taken its place.”
From his writing as president of the Air Council:
I do not understand the squeamishness about the use of gas. I am strongly in favour of using poisonous gas against uncivilised tribes.”
Promiscuous Thomas Jefferson
Thomas Jefferson was the President of the USA till 1836. This man was strongly against white people marrying African Americans as he believed that the result of such marriages would be derogatory and shameful. Moreover, Jefferson had many children with the sister of his wife. In a letter to Secretary of the Navy Robert Smith dated July 1, 1805, Jefferson also confessed that he tried to seduce his neighbor Betsey Walker who was married.
