OMG! Victoria Beckham Smiled At Presentation of Her SS 2013 Collection at NY Fashion Week!

September 9, 2012 seems to become one of the great days – the day when Victoria Beckham a kinda committed crime regarding herself and did what she never ever does in public – smiled! With Vogue editors Anna Wintour and Anna Del Russo, Maria Sharapova and sure husband David Beckham in the front row, Victoria’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection was met with applause and whistles during its presentation during Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week.

At the end of the show, after all her models had strutted the catwalk, Beckham took the traditional designer’s walk out on stage. She was so overwhelmed by the reaction that she kept raising her hands to cover her mouth. And As she left the stage, the designer even turned to get one last look at the crowd as if to make sure it was true.

AS for her collection. It was her characteristic body-conscious line – graphic, clean, and focused. Separates like crisp white cotton blouses, flirty short skirts, and deftly cut pants, stylish jumpsuits, and of course, her signature second-skin dresses were presented to fashion elite.

Victoria continued to work with the sharp schoolgirl theme. New things for her labels are sharp pointed collars and cropped jackets, and flats.

Victoria explained backstage:

There’s not one single thing out there that I would not wear myself. I always design what I want to wear, and I want to wear more than a dress. Everything’s got to look good from every angle.”

Mrs Beckham’s husband David takes his seat on the front row ahead of her show and supported her wife applauding and took some pics.

Following the show, David, Victoria, and little Harper headed off to Balthazar – the SoHo restaurant to celebrate that great event for the family.
