Fabulous Rihanna has been unveiled as the spokesmodel for Gucci’s new campaign for The United Nations Children’s Fund. She fronts the Tattoo Heart range of products. A quarter of all profits made from the line will be donated to the children’s charity. The cause is HIV/AIDS affected kids in Africa.
Gucci’s creative director Frida Giannini explained why they chose Rihanna for their campaign. It is the “strong personality” that fits for the cause, because “a musician and a beautiful woman was the perfect icon for this campaign.” Frida added, “It’s our chance to give back.”
As for her part, Ri said, “It’s an honor to represent Gucci.”
Rihanna is modeling the tattoo heart satchel in this month’s UK Vogue issue. Other items include printed canvas totes, printed silk scarves all adorned with hearts, flowers and stars.
