EMA2008 hostess Katy Perry had plenty of sassy costume changes - a total of 12! to fill the 2-hour time allotment of the Awards.
Katy really pulled out some of the weirdest outfits ever seen as the host of the MTV Europe Music Awards.
This one appeared to be a miniature merry-go-round.
When she went on to collected the award for Best New Act, she was wearing a shirt emblazoned with an image of US president-elect Barack Obama in the front and ‘I have a dream today!’ on the back.
When she came off stage after hosting the 2008 MTV EMA’s she talked to MTV News:
I’ve loved it was so fun! I made it through… I’m excited and I hope that it looked good. I’m still breathing heavily because of the 12 costume changes - I’ll have the 13th for the afterparty.”
When she performed the ‘I Kissed A Girl’ she rode the huge red cherry Chap Stick:
Riding the ‘cherry Chap Stick’ was an amazing feeling! I’ve never had production like that before!”
Katy Perry also performed her latest song ‘Hot And Cold’ to close the MTV EMAs for 2008.
While wearing a short pink number and standing on two cherries she told the crowd:
I’ve got to be careful getting off these suckers. I might pop one.”
