Hot Spring/ Summer 2009 fashion trends

Think it’s a part of human nature. You feel like every season is like starting life anew, with new hopes, new plans, new perspectives, and new style.

Back in fall 2008 I thought Spring/Summer 2009 would be totally different from that Fall fashion but looks like designers run out of creativity these days.

However it doesn’t mean that fashion is also in stagnation, it’s obviously not, it’s simply taking a new pace and trying to combine the new with the old. Maybe that’s what we should call creativity?

Anyways, here are some major Spring/ Summer 2009 fashion trends to follow and keep in mind.

I intentionally put this trend first. I love it. It’s a great example of fashion evolving the spiral way, sooner or later the trend will come back. So if you or your older sister or mother still have the 1980s styled ripped jeans feel free to take them out of the closet, cause there are huge this season. Ripped denim is sexy and revealing – perfect combo for hot spring/summer days!

I don’t know about you but I love this trend. And I definitely feel like I started it some four or five years ago when I started wearing stuff with butterflies print or butterfly shaped jewelry.

Butterfly is the symbol of renewal and femininity. And butterflies motif is all about elegance this season.

Let it show! It’s time to show off your great body! Make sure you look feminine and chic in sheer fabrics. Don’t make it expressively vulgar, rather soft but sexy.

Yeah, this trend is still hot. It started last fall and it’s still something to have in your fashionable wardrobe. Asymmetric shoulder lines will dominate in dress, bikini, top designs. The good thing about this trend is that it’s obviously revealing though still subtly sexy.

Little White Dress does not intend to replace Little Black Dress but it’s very popular this spring. The refreshing white color is fantastic for hot days and when the dress is embellished with ruffles, or made in maxi-lengths and of sheer fabrics it’s a perfect pick for a spring goddess!

Don’t be afraid to look bold! That’s the motto behind this trend. Enjoy exotic prints, go all the way to ethnic and tribal fashion, add some new wild vibe to your look!

Fringe rocks this spring. You can see this decoration everywhere from bags to shoes and dresses. Whether modern and sleek, feminine, or showgirl burlesque, fringed dresses are every girl’s must-have item!

High-waited skirts, pants, shorts dominate this season. Simple lines help create a very feminine silhouette, and another good thing is that high-waited clothes stress your waist line making it more alluring.

It’s Lady GaGa style! Short suits of sexy hotpants and matching jackets become a stylish daywear of the season. They look both flirty and kinda sporty. Really hot anyway.

Ruffles and bows dressed up simple silhouettes in the Spring 2009 Collections. Think bows at the shoulders and hips and ruffles at hemlines.

From cigarette pants to slinky wet-look leggings and harem pants, designers prove a girl looks sexy whatever she wears.

It’s a fashion blast from the past, really. Shoulder pads, neon brights and sequins are officially back and big! Another thing from the ‘80s is baggy jeans like as if you took your boyfriend’s. Say thank you to Katie Holmes for the idea!

Spring/ Summer 2009 are all about grabbing attention. Proper trendy accessories will do to help. Think statement jewelry, it must be bold, big and heavy. Opt for bug-eyed glasses, huge chunky necklaces and chandelier earrings.
