Harajuku meets the funky girl Avril!
As Mademoiselle Lavigne continues her Best Damn World Tour she performs in Japan as part of her South East Asian tour and presents her fashion line!
Good news: Malaysian government has permitted her concert, as she was cancelled for being too “sex appealing” , so she’ was all set for Kuala Lumpur as well!
Just to remind you! The Malaysian government faced particular pressure from an Islamic opposition party, which cited Lavigne’s racy image and expressed concern that Lavigne’s concert date on her Best Damn Tour was scheduled just two days before Malaysia’s upcoming Independence Day celebrations.
Same thing happened to Gwen Stefani last year and the Pussycat Dolls in 2006 were fined for violating Malaysia’s strict indecency codes.
Skater punk persona is rocking not only with her music, she’s also her own clothing line designed for Abbey Dawn.
Great news: On the 14th of this month Avril Lavigne was spotted at a fashion show in Harajuku, Tokyo, showing off the latest looks of her fresh young clothing line.
Hundreds of fans dressed like little Avrils were waiting for hours just o get a slight glimpse of their music and fashion idol. It all looked so cute!!!
Addressing concerns over her sexy image, YouTube millionmaker says:
They tend to, you know, sometimes not want Western artists in their country. I respect that, but at the same time, you know, there’s people that listen to music there and want to see their idols and stuff, so it’s all good.”
