Funky punky! Avril Lavigne rocks Abbey Dawn
This looks even better than on the catwalk.
Avril Lavigne dons her own designs from her debut clothing line Abbey Dawn for Spring/Summer 2010 fashion season. Loving the looks!
Avril teamed up with Kohl’s in spring 2008 to create the punk-inspired collection echoing Lavigne’s own style – tons of hoodies, skirts, skinny jeans, T-shirts featuring skulls, stars, checkers and zebra print. The line also features bags and glasses with the same crazy prints.
I’ve seen some of the fans at my shows wearing my shirts, and sometimes I’ve been onstage wearing [one of the shirts] and they have the same one on, and I’m like, ‘Hey, nice shirt,’ and I get really excited. [I'm looking forward to] seeing people walk around with it. It will be really cool,” Avril said in one of her interviews last year.
The affordable collection brings so much punk and rock into the wardrobe, it’s so much fun to look at and must be super cool to wear. I love the horned hoodie, one of my fave pieces from the line.
Every eight weeks I have new pieces coming into the store,” Avril told MTV News. “So we’re designing like crazy – like, tons of stuff – and it’s so much fun.”
