Emma Watson, Alberta Ferretti present new Pure Threads collection
Four months after announcing their new collaboration, Emma Watson and Alberta Ferreti have presented the organic capsule clothing line on Alberta Ferretti’s official website. Named Pure Threads, the line is 100% eco-friendly and includes five pieces inspired by Emma’s fashion idol Jane Birkin.
The Pure Threads by Emma Watson Alberta Ferretti has a retro feel about it as most of the pieces remind of the 1970s styles with lace, ribbons, cotton and denim used to create the feminine looks.
In her interview Emma Watson said she was fully involved in the design process though she wasn’t paid for her work.
I was very much involved in the design process and I really liked the organic raw materials that Alberta sourced. In particular the lace that I’ve used in all the pieces,” Emma Watson added. “Eco-fashion is very important to me. I think it’s important to be conscious of what we are buying and where it comes from.”
Albera Ferretti said that she’d chosen Emma Watson for this new collaboration because she liked her freshness, spontaneity and simplicity that they tried to bring to the designs.
The Pure Threads collection by Emma Watson and Alberta Ferretti retails from $356 for denim shorts to $1,130 for an embroidered black dress.
