Barbie gets crazier with age!

As the world marks her 50th birthday, Barbie gets a tiny makeover adding a new (sexy) detail to her sweetie-pretty look.

Mattel issued a new Barbie range called Totally Tattoos. The range is edgy and totally unexpected by Barbie’s consumers’ parents.

A multi-million-pound industry is now targeting children and the cynic would say that Mattel is simply courting controversy in order to give Barbie more of an edge,’ Ed Mayo, chief executive of the watchdog Consumer Focus told The Daily Mail. “There is always a fine line to draw with toys for young children, but my personal view is that this launch will make life harder for parents – including those that were once Barbie fans themselves.”

Having a doll with tattoos it’s reasonable a little girl might want to have a tattoo herself. The new Barbie comes with a set of tattoo designs for both, Barbie herself, and her little owner.

“Over 40 easy, no-mess tattoos to design and decorate Barbie doll’s fashions. Customise the fashions and apply the fun temporary tattoos on you too. This type of open-ended, creative play is a healthy form of self expression that Barbie brings to girls,” the doll’s description reads.

Tattoos that are applied with a washable ink, include a mix of hearts, flowers, stars, rabbits, butterflies and a Barbie silhouette.

Well, if I were still 10 I’d be thrilled to get a tattood Barbie, you? But I can say that the “Ken” tattoo really sucks. Writing names of your ex and/or current partner is out of fashion. The last to do that [and eventually remove the tattoo] was Angelina Jolie. Remember her “Billy Bob” tattoo?
