As you know, Barbie’s celebrating her 50th birthday this year, and to mark the event she enters into the fashion world to team up with noted designers to create a fashion collection to be presented this February at New York Fashion Week.
According to the latest reports, fashion and design aren’t the only Barbie’s passion. The doll is also getting a new Stila color cosmetics line this spring.

The limited edition collection “features four decades of beauty cans [each $40] with a booklet inside describing the beauty and fashion wardrobes for each doll.” The decades are presented by Ponytail Doll that celebrates the first Barbie launched in 1959, Malibu Barbie that was launched in 1971, Foxy Doll from 1980s, and finally, Jewel Doll that’s based on the doll created in 2000.
Each beauty can contains a lipstick, a cheek color, a compact with two eye shadows, and a mascara. Stila also will launch a new version of its patent-pending talking palette with tips and tools on how to get the Barbie look, the source reports.
The line will debut exclusively at Sephora in February 2009.
