Bandage Dress: Irreplacable Red Carpet Trick

Hervé Léger pioneered the body-con look in the 1980s, and his name has been synonymous with the style ever since. His iconic label was relaunched in 2007 with BCBG designer Max Azria at the head, and Azria’s skilful interpretations of the brand’s signature have brought it a new generation of fashionista fans. Since 2007, these trademark bandage dresses of eye-popping selection of colors and various styles have droven tons of celebrities crazy! So, the bandage dress has become a tried-and-tested piece for celebrities on the red carpet.

The idea to write a post about these incredible bandage dresses came to my mind when I saw Kelly Clarkson performing at the Sony press event at the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. You know what? I do love Kelly and her voice, but her style is a kinda catastrophe! Obviously, kelly does not have any stylist. Sad. And I guess that I think she thinks she’s smaller than she is! With curves like hers she could never get away with wearing a bandage dress!

Another disastrously unflattering bandage dress was worn by Christina Aguilera while performing at the American Music Awards 2011 in Los Angeles. Poor Christina… If she have known fashionistas’ slam maybe she wouldn’t have worn that dress.. Though she doesn’t seem to be embarrassed. Recently former Lady Marmalade admitted that she loves her curves. Okay. No comment.

Still, the bandage dress situation is not so bad with other celebrities. Many actresses, singers, and models manage to look good in these extremely tight dresses. Here are some examples. Kelly Rowland in pretty pink bandage dress. I love the way she looks! She’s stunning!
