Angelina Jolie is barefoot in first Louis Vuitton ad campaign
Louis Vuitton has released the first image of their Core Values ad campaign starring Angelina Jolie.
The print-only campaign was shot by Annie Leibovitz in Cambodia’s Siem Reap province and is “about a very special person and a very special journey,” according to LV’s executive vice president Pietro Beccari.
The first released ad campaign photo shows Angelina dressed up in her own clothes and posing barefoot with her own Louis Vuitton Alto bag that she bought at least six years ago. The photo was taken by the lake that Jolie discovered while filming Lara Croft: Tomb Raider over a decade ago.
People are not used to seeing Angelina in this situation,” Beccari told WWD. “I like the fact that it’s a real moment. This travel message we give through personal journeys is a fundamental one for the brand.”
Cambodia is a very important country in Angelina Jolie’s life. She adopted her first son Maddox from Cambodia and it was there that she decided to help developing countries around the world as an individual and a UNHCR ambassador. Louis Vuitton’s Pietro Beccari said Angelina had donated an undisclosed portion of her $10 million paycheck to a charity.
This Wednesday Vuitton will post a video teaser of Angelina Jolie’s LV interview. The full interview is coming later this month.
