Mother Monster Lady Gaga Opened Her Christmas Workshop At Barney’s New York
Lady Gaga is in her usual vein! This time she has designed 5,500 square foot in-store Christmas shop completely by herself! Her Christmas workshop is placed at Barney’s New York, at the store’s East 60th Street location. The colorful and whimsical store is full of such eccentric items as her notorious hair bows attached to headbands, iPhone and iPad cases and stiletto-heel holiday stockings. Also studded leather motorcycle jackets and Gaga-style Christmas ornaments can be purchased here. Moreover, candy department offers little monsters-formed cookies and rock candy necklaces. All in all there are eight stations: Candy Shop, Toy Shop, Closet (for apparel and accessories), Library (for books, CDs, media, and paper goods), Gallery (for collectibles and specialty items), Jewelry, Boudoir (for candles and cosmetics) and Holiday.
Fashionista little monsters can purchase Gaga’s revolting clothing style items, for example, a pair of $4,000!!! heel-less booties and $50 heart-formed sunglasses.
Philanthropist Gaga is giving 25% of workshop or online proceeds to her newly-launched Born This Way Foundation. She said that her workshop is targeted to remind people of the giving and charitable spirit of the holidays.
It’s a `Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ moment. We wanted it all to be whimsical and fun, with a sense of art and fashion.”
