Video: 5 most embarrassing Emmy Awards moments

In the light of last night’s 2010 Emmy Awards and all the glam and beauty it’s brought alone, I came to the frustrating realization of the fact that this year’s Emmys were absolutely Oops-free. So sad and so boring of Emmys.

However, Emmy Awards has a history of big celebrity Oops moments and some of them do look funny even today, years after they occurred.

I’ve decided to focus on video moments. Here are 5 most embarrassing Oops moments from Emmy Awards:

5. Donald Trump

You’d never seen him like this before and you’re unlikey to see him like this ever again but at 2005 Emmys mogul Donald Trump dressed up in a straw hat to sing the theme song from Green Acres holding a pitchfork in his hands.

4. Heidi Klum

Heidi Klum co-hosted 2008 Emmys with Tom Bergeron, Ryan Seacrest, Howie Mandel and Jeff Probst. During a skit with Bergeron Heidi pretended to swoon and fall with Tom ready to catch her. The oops moment was as simple as this – Bergeron failed to catch the normal-sized Project Runway host and she fell down on the stage having a big bruise on her hip as a reminder of her hosting debut.

Worth noting that 2008 Emmy Awards were later named the worst Emmy telecast in recent history.

3. Katherine Heigl

In 2007 Katherine Heigl won the best supporting actress for her role in Grey’s Anatomy. Her acceptance speech was really embarrassing and later cut out:

My own mother told me I didn’t have a shot in hell of winning tonight.”

Maybe mom knew something we didn’t?

2. Kirstie Alley

In 1991 Kirstie Alleywon best comedy actress for Cheers. Trying to make her acceptance speech as funny and unexpected as possible then-popular actress decided to thank her then-husband Parker Stevenson for his ultimate support throughout her career. She thanked him as “the man who has given me the big one for the last eight years.”
How embarrassing for Stevenson.

1. Helen Mirren

Making her Acceptance speech at 2006 Emmy Awards, Helen Mirren used her own words as an example for urging more well-written parts for actresses. She said the following:

My great triumph is not falling a*s over t*t as I came up those stairs.”

Fortunately for all of us, the moment wasn’t censored.
