Oscars 2010: Fashion DON’TS

It’s all about crumpled silk, huge hips, ugly oversized roses and purple hair.

Here are my 2010 Oscar fashion DON’TS presented by J Lo, Kelly Osbourne, Zoe Saldana and others.

Actually, I liked Jennifer Lopez and her 2010 Oscars look. The pale pink Giorgio Armani Prive dress looked fab but the side train looked totally out of place.

Think it was inappropriate for Jen to take advantage of her husband’s fragile frame to make sure she could occupy half of his sit with the train as he was small enough to be happy with the rest of the chair. So mean of you, Jennifer!

Avatar star Zoe Saldana looked strange in her pale-pink-bright-purple-dark-black dress that has been slammed as “toilet roll holder” by some fashion critics. The tail was so huge comparing to the whole silhouette. Seemed as if it was hard for her to move around and the dress was too heavy a burden for her to carry.

Up In The Air actress Vera Farmiga reminded me of a huge rose left by somebody on the Oscar redcarpet. What was she thinking when picking that bright fuchsia dress? Yes, ruches are huge but things are good in moderation.

Maggie Gyllenhaal looked very cute in her floral printed blue gown. I say it even though it reminded me of a mummy bandage carefully wrapped round her body. I would never mention this silk dress in my list but for the fact it crumpled on the front. It looked so not glamorous and definitely not good for the Oscar redcarpet. Think twice before choosing silk next time

Firstly, who is Katie Price? She’s a nobody from the UK regularly covered in British tabloids, that’s all I know about this woman with fake tan, fake boobs, and fake lashes.

Her Elton John AIDS Foundation’s Oscar Viewing Party dress is a total disaster. There was too much of everything there – too many sequins, too much color, too many roses and too many cuts for one single dress. Meanwhile, some British papers dubbed the dress as “uncharacteristically elegant”. Are you guys blind there?

And finally, it’s all about purple hair. I really loved Kelly Osbourne’s hair when she just got it pink, it was so fresh and so kinky of her. But as we all know, when you dye your hair the color eventually washes off changing the shade and going dull and dirty in color. The same thing has happed to her once pink hair. It looks ugly right now. Time you called your stylist, Kelly!
