Katy Perry channels her 1940s sexy chic style for 2009 MTV Video Music Awards promos.
She looks sizzling in a skimpy pink ensemble with her trademark retro ‘do and make up.
For the promo pics Katy poses in a director’s chair in New York City’s Times Square and holding a moonman trophy in her hand.
In her interview during the shoot Katy said she loved this year’s host Russell Brand and enjoyed his “black and wrong” sense of humor:
Katy joined the line of other celebs to promote VMAs. Taylor Swift, Ne-Yo, Cobra Starship and Leighton Meester have also posed for the photo promo as well as starred in parts of the VMA special – West Side Story classic “Tonight”.
Each of them collaborated with Lin-Manuel Miranda (In The Heights) to change the lyrics to make them more VMA-specific.
