YouthAIDS gala at the Tysons Ritz-Carlton sounded so promising:
- Power of Music theme
- “rock star chic” dress code
- and VIPs: Bob Geldof, Ashley Judd, Sharon Osbourne - mistress of the party, Anna Kournikova, Dayana Mendoza and others.

The fundraiser equal of $1.2 million was more like a dirge. This is how Anna sees her fundraising:
Don’t get the wrong idea. I basically get dressed up and beg people for money.”
Anna, who once was the most searched woman on internet, appeared in a low-cut black gown and was up in the competition for hotness against Miss Universe 2008 Dayana Mendoza of Venezuela, who exposed her snakelike tattoo on her perfect neck.
Honestly, it sucks. But she said it symbolizes “eternal life”.

Bob Geldof delivered a powerful treatise on the “pornography of poverty” in Africa:
Tonight, like last night and tomorrow night, 90 percent of the children will go to bed hungry.”
But the celebrity party ‘animals’ were just fine. They had it all – the open bar, overflowing champagne, sushi, mini-burgers and Harley-Davidsons as decoration as two local cover bands battled it out at opposite ends of the hotel ballroom until 3 a.m.
