“Nu” – style photographs of super models Gisele Bundchen and Kate Moss will be sold out on the Christie’s auction house in New York. The stunning collection features world famous celebrities like blonde bombshell Bridget Bardot, american actress Lauren Hutton and surely Carla Bruni – the 1st lady of France.

The photographs are taken from collector Gert Elfering, 49. He is one of the world’s foremost collectors of the 20th century! How is he letting most of it go, I don’t know! 135 lots tomorrow on April 10th, 2008. It is expected to fetch about ₤ 2-3million.

The upset price of the iconic picture of a bunny girl is expected to be ₤20,000 while Kate Moss will start off with ₤15,000. On that picture she looks so innocent and unspoilt. Amazing work was done back in 1996.

The story of the young german guy back in early eighties, who was 25 years old and walked in the Hamilton’s gallery while vacationing in London. Young Gert recalls that he was so petrified by the works of Horst but couldn’t afford even a single print. Instead, he left with a book and a poster.

In 1998 he acquired the complete Horst archive which, as he says, shows how times can change:
I started with a book and a poster, then moved on to smaller prints, then more expensive ones, and finally the estate.”
