I know you’ve been waiting for this show for the last 12 months of your life, and here they are, Victoria’s Secret Angels donning sexiest lingerie at the sexiest catwalk show in fashion business.
Annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was held Thursday, Nov. 19th, in New York with some 30 lingerie models sporting the latest from the giant lingerie brand.
As announced earlier this month, new mother Heidi Klum served as the host of the show and didn’t walk the runway this year after giving birth to her fourth child, Lou Samuel just five weeks ago.
Heidi looked fabulous in a purple corset and tulle train opening the “Enchanted Forest” segment of the show.
I embrace that I have more curves right now,” the German supermodel said. “I’m definitely one of the heaviest of the bunch of the 30 girls in the show. And I still have 20lb to go,” she added noting that “you definitely have less pressure hosting, when you don’t shake your booty in front of millions of people around the world.”
Klum had always been one of the main attractions of the show, so this year’s spotlight was on fellow Angel Marisa Miller who was honored to present a $3 million diamond-encrusted bra. Looks hot to me.
Generally, this year’s show was all about fancy jewelry and expensive chic. Models were splashed in diamonds, crystals wearing faux fur stoles over their bras and panties and donning the show’s must-have, thigh-high boots.
A choir, acrobatic dancers and a giant polka-dot dog balloon defined the party atmosphere of the event with Black Eyed Peas performing for the audience.
This year’s show was dedicated to four major themes:
- Star Trooper with breast plates and body armor;
- Pink Planet;
- Enchanted Forest;
- and Romantic Journey that featured a lot of lace.
