This was the most glamorous and fashionable A-list party of the year. As usual, New York based MET Costume Institute Gala is the most anticipated fashion event we’re all looking forward to every year.
This year’s charity event co-hosted by Kate Moss, Marc Jacobs, Vogue editor Anna Wintour and Justin Timberlake, was a fab one.
Wall-to-wall crowded with celebs, it showed some hot style and some fashion faux pas too.
What I’d like to focus on is blue dress fashion at 2009 MET Costume Institute Gala, as many big names turned to this color. From light blue to midnight blue, enjoy the blue dress celebrities of “Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion” Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday!
First of all, I’m in love with Gisele Bundchen’s deep blue mini dress. The sequined gown stressed the supermodel’s long legs and drop-dead gorgeous body.
Katy Perry made her fashion debut at Costume Institute Gala this year. I loved her bright blue dress and cuff bracelet.

Some blue-dress clad babes chose Versace gowns for the big event. Beautiful Cindy Crawford showed her toned body in the turquoise satin Versace dress, matching color shoes and clutch. She posed with Donatella Versace, who, unsurprisingly, wore a Versace dress, too.

Gossip Girl star Blake Lively also chose Versace, I loved her one-shoulder chiffon dress with delicate embroidery.
I did not like the way Brooke Shields looked in her teal dress. It was baggy and totally not flattering.

What do you think about Heidi Klum’s glam maternity style? I loved her layered midnight blue empire waist dress. The expecting model looked radiant and happy posing on the redcarpet. Glad for her!

Liv Tyler looked good. The dress does remind me of some quality Hollywood glamour.
However, I was not impressed by Jessica Alba’s fashion choice. She wore a Jason Wu dress, platform base overlapping elastic straps shoes, Van Cleef & Arpels jewels of emeralds and diamonds. Guess I don’t like the shoes, definitely.

Well, the most extravagant blue-dress babe award goes to Madonna. She wore a Louis Vuitton mini dress and Puss in the Boots style boots. Her stupid hairpiece was the main eye-catcher. Not glamorous but definitely fun, especially for a 50 year old.
This gala evening at the Metropolitan Museum of Art opened in the museum’s “The Model as Muse” spring 2009 exhibition.
