No Mercy to Madonna
Don’t really wanna go deep in detail about it, but anyway.
Malawian authorities believe celebrity adoption can lead to child trafficking so they ruled out Madonna’s bid to adopt the four year-old girl, Mercy James yesterday. The Supreme Court judge claimed Madonna wasn’t a Malawian citizen so she couldn’t adopt in the country.
I’m currently studying the judgment so that I can come up with the grounds to appeal, Madonna’s lawyer, Alan Chinula, told Reuters.
According to reports, Madonna was devastated and outraged to hear the sad news, screaming ‘Whaaat!’[I can almost see this picture.]
She kept burying her face in her hands. She was really in shock,” the source said.
I know law is law, but why not let another child be happy and well cared for? I’m sure Madonna could make Mercy’s life a way better than the life the girl has now living in a orphanage.
