Cristiano Ronaldo and his mini-me son pictured together for the first time

Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo became father to a cute baby boy last June and announced the happy news on his Facebook page in July. Though his son Cristiano Ronaldo Jr is turning 1 on June 17, it’s actually the first time son and dad are pictured together.

Ronaldo is trying his best to keep his child out of the spotlight, letting media focus on his relationship with Russian model Irina Shayk instead.

Baby Cristiano looks a lot like his dad. Besides, he’s also a fan of designer fashion – he’s wearing a cap and a shirt by Burberry in these pics taken in Portugal earlier this week.

While Ronaldo is busy playing soccer, his mom Dolores takes care of her grandson, though Ronaldo says he’s a hands-on dad and often changes diapers.

Of course I change the nappies. It’s not the thing I like best in the world, but I do it,” the soccer star said in one of his interviews.

Having a child is ground-breaking experience for everybody so becoming a father has really changed him, Cristiano Ronaldo says:

Of course something like this affects you. It’s a different type of responsibility. Maybe I feel more comfortable. I’m comfortable when things are going well: my family, the club, my friends, that gives me important support for everything else.”

The baby mother’s identity is not known and Cristiano has “exclusive guardianship” of the child who was conceived during a very short fling in September 2009. His mother is said to be a young waitress from San Francisco.
