Adele is Pregnant With Her First Child
The singing sensation Adele is pregnant!
Adele writes:
I’m delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together. I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we’re over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx.”
Adele announced that she is pregnant with her first child.
The 24-year-old Adele has been attached to boyfriend and fellow Brit Simon Konecki since last summer. According to People, the 36-year-old was previously married (he was divorced in ’08) and is a former financier who co-founded the U.K. bottled water company Life Water. He also heads the company’s charity, Drop4Drop, which brings clean water to developing countries.
The happy news comes after years of troubled romantic relationships, which Adele has famously committed to song. Tracks like Someone Like You and the Grammy-winning Rolling in the Deep from her blockbuster album 21 dealt deeply and explicitly with her breakup from her last boyfriend.
Obviously, this is going to affect Adele’s career. She was playing with some back and forth rumors about when she would put out a new album – sometimes she said it would be years, sometimes she said it would be months. I think she’s going to be taking a nice long break to focus on her pregnancy and then the baby. My congrats!!!
