14 yo British girl is the IT singer in Japan
She’s nobody in her home Britain but all Japanese teens are deliriously happy to be her fans. Rebecca Flint, 14, who’s also known by her YouTube name Beckii Cruel has the second most subscribed website in Japan and has already had her live gig in Tokyo.
Her fanbase is incredibly large and her debut album that was released yesterday is said to hit the #1 spot in Japan as soon as released.
So what’s so special about this “weird girl who’s famous in Japan”? She’s hit Japanese stardom by posting her clips on YouTube in which she dances to Japanese pop music and the theme tunes of anime cartoons dressed up as Japanese cartoon characters.
Besides, she’s got big eyes, a small face and slender legs – making a perfect anime character for Japanese viewers.
And though she’s only 14 and most of her fans are male, her parents don’t see any reason for concern saying that it’s “just a bit of fun, dancing to Japanese culture.”
I’m worried about this girl, don’t really think she does understand what she’s doing and what it all means to her [pervert] male fans. As to her other videos (esp. the ones in which she’s talking to her fans) they don’t make any sense at all to me.
