that’s what Cynthia Nixon, the Sex And The City star said about her girlfriend of four years, Christine Marinoni.

And here’s the news: Cynthia said she would be happy to marry her girlfriend if same-sex marriages are recognized in the U.S, according to The Mirror.

If it becomes legal, I think we would. It’s something my girlfriend is interested in and it was not something my boyfriend ever was. I think that to get married to her would be a little act of rebellion.”

I remember how surprised I was four years ago when Ms. Nixon came out with her girlfriend and dumped her boyfriend of 15 years and father of her children, Samantha, 11, and Charles, 5, Danny Mozes.

Well, we must admit that Christina was really supportive of her famous girlfriend when Cynthia was battling breast cancer two years ago. Not every man can do the same. Besides, Ms. Nixon’s children have two moms now, again, not every child has at least one.

The SATC star confessed to the source:

I never felt like there was an unconscious part of me that woke up or came out of the closet. I met this woman and I fell in love with her.”

Cynthia is a woman who fell in love with another woman. Period.
