Keira Knightley Is Engaged To James Righton

Very often girls and boys who are dating someone without marrying for several years jump into a new relationship and get engaged and married really fast as soon as they break up. Keira Knightley is a good example for the moment. She was dating Rupert Friend for more than five years, but they split up about a year and a half ago. Keira wasn’t upset for a long time, she James Righton very soon. And now Keira and James are engaged! I don’t really have any strong feelings about Keira Knightley in general… But anyway congrats to the couple.

It’s pretty interesting, did Keira want to marry Rupert and he simply never proposed, and Keira hit the road and met a guy who was the marrying kind? Actually I do not know. Keira has become more serious lately – she’s seems to be grown up. Or maybe she’s looking at her friends getting married. e.g. Carey Mulligan, and having babies like Sienna Miller and she wants that life too?

On the other hand, maybe she didn’t want to marry Rupert and found someone she does want to marry. Women in long-term relationships aren’t all sitting around waiting for proposals. Thinking like that paints women as desperate and men as emotionally unavailable. It’s not fair to anyone, really, and it’s not accurate.
