Katy Perry is engaged!
It took Brand three months to pop the question to his singer girlfriend Katy Perry.
Usmagazine.com was the first to break the engagement news. According to the source, Russell proposed to Katy while on a romantic vac to India last week, and she happily accepted.
This rumor comes shortly after it was revealed Russell Brand had purchased a lavish mansion in LA to move in with Katy and bought an engagement ring at Cartier’s flagship West London store.
The Indian getaway was Brand’s surprise present to Katy after she told him she admired Indian culture.
Katy and Russell rang in the New Year in India and reportedly got their relationship blessed with “luck and divine happiness” by a guru on New Year’s Eve.
Russell wanted to do something special for Katy to show her how much she means to him. They wanted to take part in a traditional ceremony and thought there was no better time that on New Year’s Eve. The ceremony is usually used to bless new couples in the hope that it might lead them toward marriage,” another source reported.
Marriage is in the cards! Congrats to the newly engaged couple!
