Kate Winslet, husband split after 7 years together
One of Hollywood’s golden couples has hit the revolutionary road.
Kate Winslet and her director husband of seven years have split and filing for divorce, their rep told People exclusively.
The couple officially split earlier this year with sources blaming their movie Revolutionary Road for the break-up.
Kate starred in the movie with Leonardo DiCaprio while Sam directed. The movie follows a married couple on their way to divorce and tragedy.
So sad Kate and Sam went the same road in their relationship.
Kate and Sam are saddened to announce that they separated earlier this year,” the lawyers told People. “The split is entirely amicable and is by mutual agreement. Both parties are fully committed to the future joint parenting of their children.”
A friend of Kate, 34, quoted the actress as saying “That’s it, it is final”:
Kate is devastated. She thought their marriage was forever and now she has two children from two marriages and both are not living with their fathers.”
Kate married Sam in 2003. They have a son together. Winslet also has a nine year old daughter from her previous marriage to assistant director Jim Threapleton.
